SOLDIERS PARK – COMMENCEMENT OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT

Please be advised that a planned Stage 1 replacement of playground equipment is due to occur at Soldiers Park on Monday 29th May 2023, and planned to be re-opened in mid-June 2023.

This will include:

Removing some play equipment, including the Liberty Swing; Installing first stage of new replacement playground equipment such as swings, climbing frame, basket swing, see-saw, rockers etc; Remedial work to existing central combination play equipment (to be replaced as part of Stage 2 work in near future); and Replacement of soft-fall surface.

The playground will be closed to the public over the course of this work (approximately 3 weeks).

The Soldiers Park Playground project was made possible through $50,000 funding from the Australian Government through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program. This program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia.
