Charters Towers Regional Council has now endorsed the highly anticipated 2023-2033 Community Strategic Plan. 

Outlining a visionary roadmap for the future development and prosperity of our vibrant community, this comprehensive plan sets out a clear vision, guiding principles, and strategic goals that will shape the community’s trajectory over the next decade.

Mayor Frank Beveridge said he was pleased about the release of the 2023-2033 Community Strategic Plan.

“The Plan represents a collective vision for our region’s future, reflecting the aspirations and priorities of our community members.

“It provides a clear roadmap for building a stronger, more resilient, and inclusive community and Council look forward to working with the community to turn this vision into reality."

Developed through extensive community engagement, the 2023-2033 Community Strategic Plan represents a collaborative effort involving residents, local businesses, community organizations, and government stakeholders.

This inclusive approach ensures that the Plan reflects the aspirations, needs, and values of our diverse community, fostering a shared sense of ownership and commitment to its successful implementation.

By working together, we will transform our vision into reality and build a Region that thrives for generations to come,” continued Mayor Beveridge.

Under the theme of "We are a Council that is committed to the continuous improvement and the sustainable future of our region and communities," the 2023-2033 Community Strategic Plan has four focus areas:
