Council Services and Facilities for the King’s Birthday Public Holiday

Council would like to inform the Moree Plains community of the following services and facilities' operating hours for the King’s Birthday Long Weekend public holiday, Monday 12 June 2023.

Unless otherwise noted below, Council’s services and facilities, including the Moree Customer Service Centre, will operate as normal until 5:00 pm Friday 9 June. Services and facilities will recommence as usual from Tuesday 13 June.

Waste Services

Please be advised kerbside garbage, recycling and organics collections will be as normal.

Landfill operating hours:

Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre (DAC) Friday 9 June – Closed Monday 12 June – Closed

Moree Community Library Friday 9 June – Closed Monday 12 June – Closed

Gwydir Daycare and Preschool Friday 9 June – Open Monday 12 June – Closed

Ranger Services Please call the after-hours service on 02 6757 3222 to access Ranger Services for emergencies.

Moree Tourism Saturday 10 June – 9am to 1pm Sunday 11 June – 9am to 1pm Monday 12 June – 9am to 1pm

Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre Saturday 10 June – 8am to 6pm Sunday 11 June – 8am to 6pm Monday 12 June – 10am to 5pm

Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM) Saturday 10 June – 10am – 1pm Sunday 11 June and Monday 12 June - Closed

Water Filling Station The Water Filling Station (Maude Street, near Depot) is currently out of service.

Moree Regional Airport Will operate as usual.
