Families are invited to a huge day free day of games, sport, and other outdoor activities in Sturt Park on Saturday (June 17) for ACTIVE FEST.
ACTIVE FEST will run from 10am-2pm and feature laser tag, league tag, hockey, badminton, table tennis, tai-chi, active workshops, demonstrations and stalls, and a colour run.
Local Musicians Bowden and Rylee McAllister will join 2DryFM for a live broadcast from the event, the Lions Club and Y's Men's Club will provide BBQ food, and coffee will be available from Giovanni and Co coffee van.
Council's Community Development Coordinator, Rachel Merton, said she hoped plenty of locals would take advantage of the free day.
"This is the second ACTIVE FEST we've held, and it provides an opportunity for the whole community to be more physically active, try new activities, and also to get information about local groups and sports," said Ms Merton.
"As always, we'd like to thank all our partners and community groups for their support in providing this event to the families of Broken Hill"
ACTIVE FEST has been supported by the NSW Government, YMCA, 2DryFM, Creative Community Concepts, Landcare, Service NSW, and local businesses and charity groups.
