Work is now well underway transforming the Arts & Function Centre thanks to $18 million in funding from the Federal Government.
The vision is to create an inclusive and inspiring Cultural Centre and Precinct that will combine museum and gallery exhibits, performing arts, events & functions, a café, creative retail and workshops and classes for people of all ages and abilities.
Council is now seeking to establish an Advisory Group to represent the creative needs and aspirations of our community, and help guide and advise our future creative programming.
Expressions of Interest are invited from individuals who live, work, study or have connections to the Burnie Local Government Area and consider themselves suitable to the role in terms of skill, experience or interest and a willingness to (collectively as part of the group) seek to represent the broadest possible views and aspirations of the Burnie community.
To submit your Expression of Interest, please read the Advisory Group guidelines, then email [email protected] or write to us at: PO Box 973 Burnie 7320 - outlining your interest in being a part of this group and what you think you would bring to the (meeting) table.
Submissions will close on Friday 28 July 2023.
