Car Park 2 (Entrance through Gate B) Brisbane Entertainment Centre 1 Melaleuca Drive, Boondall QLD 4034 Saturday, October 21, 2023, 9am – 3pm Do you have a cupboard full of old, worn-out household linen? You can recycle these textiles for free at one of three events being held throughout August, September and October across Brisbane. Brisbane City Council have partnered with BlockTexx to provide Brisbane residents with an opportunity to recycle their unwanted household linen for free via Give a Sheet for the Planet. These drive-through events allow residents to drop-off their household linen in a quick and easy manner and are a fun way to get involved in a local recycling solution for end-of-life textiles.Items that can be recycled include all household linens that are made from cotton, polyester and cellulosic fibres (including viscose, rayon, bamboo, linen and tencel). These valuable textiles are then recycled into new raw materials to be re-manufactured.Eligibility to participate: Brisbane City Council’s Give a Sheet for the Planet events allow residents to recycle domestic quantities of accepted linen items only. Commercial quantities of unwanted linen (exceeding 40kgs) may not be accepted for donation. These are drive-through events, with Give a Sheet volunteers taking linen donations directly from resident's cars. All passengers under the age of 16 are to remain in the vehicle. Linen drop-offs are also able to be made on foot at all three events. Event type: Free, Green Cost: Free Age: Suitable for all ages Bookings: No bookings required. Bookings required: No
