School holiday fun at Theatre Royal

Published on 19 June 2023

School holiday movies are coming back to the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.

Corangamite Shire Council Economic Development and Events Officer Tammy Young said the movies would give young people something a bit different to do on their holidays.

“These school holidays we have two animated movies to give our young residents a fun day out with friends. Come along and make a day of it,” Ms Young said.

“On Tuesday 27 June we will screen ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’ at 10 am.

“When Puss (Antonio Banderas) discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll and he has burned through eight of his nine lives, he launches an epic journey to restore them by finding the mythical Last Wish.

“On Wednesday 5 July holidaymakers can come and see ‘Sing 2’ from 1 pm.

“Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) and his friends Johnny (Taron Edgerton), Meena (Tori Kelly), Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), Gunter (Nick Kroll), Miss Crawly (Garth Jennings) and Ash  (Scarlett Johansson) are all back from the first movie.

“This time they have to persuade rock star Clay Calloway (Bono) to join them for a new show.”

Ms Young said entry was free with the Bath street doors opening a half hour before start time.

Food and drinks, including fresh popcorn, will be available for purchase.
