Residents have an extra two weeks to have their say on the Draft Gannawarra Urban Growth Strategy, which will guide future residential and industrial development in the Gannawarra.
Initially scheduled to close on 16 June, Gannawarra Shire Council has extended the feedback period, with residents now able to have their say up to 5pm Wednesday, 5 July.
“Council thanks all residents who have taken the time so far to have their say on this important document,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.
“The Draft Gannawarra Urban Growth Strategy will help support the future rezoning of residential and industrial land in Cohuna, Kerang, the Kerang Lakes and Koondrook to cater for future population growth, as well as ensuring that there is a clear and defined planning process to encourage new residential and industrial development locally.”
Residents can have their say on the Draft Gannawarra Urban Growth Strategy in the following ways:
• By completing a Have Your Say form available at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/urbangrowth
• By emailing [email protected]
• By writing to Gannawarra Shire Council, PO Box 287, Kerang VIC 3579.
“All feedback received during the community engagement period will assist with the development of the final version of the Gannawarra Urban Growth Strategy, which will be presented to Council at a later date for consideration,” Mayor Gillingham said.
