Reminder - Vandalism is a crime

Isaac Regional Council has noticed an increase of vandalism to facilities, particularly during school holidays.

When facilities are damaged through vandalism, it creates unsafe environments for the community, costs Council time and money to fix and may result in that facility being closed or restricted for community members that are doing the right thing.

Recently the Town Square Garden in Moranbah was subject to vandalism. There has been a multitude of positive feedback regarding the upgrade of the garden. Council will now have to rectify the garden using valuable resources due to the lack of consideration by some members of the town.

Moranbah is not the only town in the region suffering. There has been a notable rise in this type of behaviour throughout the region.

VANDALISM IS A CRIME

Vandalism is the act of damaging or defacing property without permission.

Council spends a lot of time and money fixing instances of vandalism across the region that could be better spent on improving our communities.
