Wentworth Street and Woodhouse Lane Upgrades - Have your say

In 2024, Council will commence new streetscape upgrade works along Wentworth Street and Woodhouse Lane as part of the larger Southern Precinct project. These works include widening the footpath, planting trees to increase tree canopy coverage, and installing street furniture, lighting and smart poles to improve CCTV coverage. These works are designed to enhance the appearance of the public domain and improve pedestrian safety. 

Proposed works include: 

Widening the footpath and installing granite pavers to improve pedestrian accessibility and provide the option for outdoor dining spaces Installation of kerb ramps and new kerb and gutter Road re-surfacing Removal of one existing street tree and planting of new mature street trees to increase shade Planting of garden beds and landscaping Installation of smart poles, microfibre cabling, CCTV cameras, lighting and signage Undergrounding of overhead power on corner of Woodhouse Lane Installation of street furniture (bins, seats and/or bicycle racks) Potential relocation of loading zones and kiss and ride on-street parking spaces (TBC)

This project is a part of the Accelerated Infrastructure Fund grant program that is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with the City of Parramatta Council.
