Public notice: Upcoming asphalt works

A safer and smoother journey is planned for streets across Emerald and Blackwater as asphalt surface renewal works begin.

Affected streets:

Emerald Saleyards, Emerald:

17 July 2023 until 19 July 2023: Emerald Saleyards works will be undertaken in sections to maintain access.

Arthur Street and Bluff Street, Blackwater:

21 July 2023: Arthur Street will have lane closures with detours. 22 July 2023: Bluff Street will have full-width road closures with detours.

Access to the following venues will be restricted in Blackwater:

Metro Fuel, Red Rooster and Ampol will only be accessible via Capricorn Highway. McDonalds and Blackwater Carwash will only be accessible through restricted driveway access.

Traffic controllers will be on site to facilitate these movements. Please follow signage and drive to conditions.
