Regional residents will soon get to talk to Council face-to-face, with Community Meetings scheduled to commence in Greenvale, Hervey Range, Homestead, Pentland, and Ravenswood.
The community meetings, which are held annually, will take place over the coming months commencing on 10 August 2023 in Ravenswood at the School of Arts Hall.
Mayor Frank Beveridge said these meetings aim to engage with residents and address various community concerns and interests.
“These community meetings offer an invaluable opportunity for residents to voice their opinions, raise concerns, and share ideas regarding various local issues.
“Council representatives will be present at each meeting to listen to the community's feedback and provide relevant information on ongoing projects and initiatives,” continued Mayor Beveridge.
The Community Meetings are a great opportunity for regional residents to have their say about any issues they feel need Council’s attention or further discussion and all residents are encouraged to attend.
Residents are also urged to register and put forward questions or topics that they may want discussed.
“Registrations will assist with catering and no topic will be off the table. If people put forward their questions, we can then make sure we have as much information as possible in front of us when we go along to the meeting, hopefully removing the need to come back with answers at a later date, as well as allowing full and robust conversation.
“All interested individuals, community groups, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend the community meetings”, said Mayor Beveridge.
