What about dinner that does some good? City of Parramatta is once again hosting Pitch for Good where the public can enjoy a delicious meal while four local organisations pitch the projects they care about in a bid to win funds to kick-start their dream.

Audience members select the organisations that matter to them and donate the value of their $30 ticket to their chosen project. This is doubled by Council and go towards starting crowdfunding campaigns for each of the projects.

“This is a fun and interactive way to generate much-needed funds for deserving social enterprise groups,” City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Sameer Pandey said.

“There are some excellent community groups in this year’s Pitch for Good with interesting business ideas that will make a difference to our community. I encourage you to get a table together with your friends, families and co-workers and enjoy a dinner out with a twist.”

This year’s four pitches will come from:

Parramatta Bike Tours – promote active transport, specifically riding a bicycle, to enhance the wellbeing of individuals in the workplace Upcycled Tech – collect and refurbish old technology which is then distributed to people in disadvantaged communities Confit – a gym that provides upskilling, education and employment pathways into the fitness sector for formerly incarcerated adults and youth The Freedom Hub – an organisation that exists to help victims of modern slavery recover and rebuild their lives.

In addition to dinner and the pitch, there will be stalls run by local social enterprises – all included in the ticket price.
