Residents wanting to learn about the future of Aged and Disability Services in the Gannawarra Shire are encouraged to attend one of Gannawarra Shire Council’s Community Care Services Info Roadshow this July.
Current and prospective Community Care clients are encouraged to attend their local roadshow session and meet with Community Care Services management to learn more about Council’s transition out of the Aged and Disability Services sector, scheduled for 31 October 2023.
“Council thanks our Community Care Services clients for their understanding following our recent decision to withdraw from being an approved Aged and Disability Services provider,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“Our Community Care Services Info Roadshow will enable current and prospective clients, as well as their families, to learn about why Council has decided to withdraw from the sector and what the transition process will involve.”
Roadshow sessions will be held at the following locations between 17 July and 27 July:
Kerang Senior Citizens Centre: Monday, 17 July (10am-11.30am) Barook Senior Citizens Centre, Koondrook Tuesday, 18 July (9.30am-11am) Cohuna Community Meeting Room: Tuesday, 18 July (11.30am-1pm) Leitchville Memorial Hall: Tuesday, 18 July (2.30pm-4pm) Lake Charm Hall: Tuesday, 25 July (9.30am-11am) Murrabit Hall: Tuesday, 25 July (12 noon-1.30pm) Quambatook Senior Citizens Centre: Thursday, 27 July (9.30am-11am) Lalbert Recreation Reserve: Thursday, 27 July (11.30am-1pm)“Council is committed to continuing to provide a high quality of service, delivered with kindness, compassion and care, between now and 31 October,” Mr Rollinson said.
