It's time to get off gas!
Households that are connected to gas can expect to pay hundreds extra this year for their energy bills when compared to all-electric homes. But not only is gas expensive, it's also detrimental to human health and a major polluter, damaging water, land, and our climate.
Join Renew for the first of our Getting of Gas Toolkit sessions, as we discuss everything you need to know about ditching gas. From planning your new build to be all electric, knowing what gas appliance you should ditch first, understanding how electricity compares to gas, and whether getting off gas is cheaper for new builds or existing homes. We'll be covering all things going all-electric.
Renew is pleased to be joined by Jenny Edwards, Owner, Managing Director & Lead Scientist at Light House Architecture & Science, Anne Martinelli, Senior Policy Officer in gas reform and energy strategy at the Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action, and Alan Pears, a senior industry fellow at RMIT University, regular columnist at Renew, consultant and industry/ community organisation advisor. The panel will be convened by Dr Rachel Goldlust, Getting Off Gas toolkit lead and sustainability researcher here at Renew.
We hope you'll join us for the discussion. There will be plenty of opportunity to answer audience questions. If you have one already, you can submit your question when checking out.
We are so grateful to our Getting Off Gas Toolkit sponsors: Pure Electric (Gold Sponsor), Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (Silver Sponsor), Be Energy Efficient (Bronze Sponsor), HIP V.
