Starting Monday, 17 July 2023, all turfed areas within the Town of Cambridge's parks and reserves will be treated with a broadleaf selective herbicide to remove prickles and clover.
Signs will be displayed in areas that are being treated until the herbicide is absorbed by the plant and dried off.
It is recommended that, if possible, the community avoids treated areas whilst signage is still visible.
The broadleaf weed control will ideally be carried out in all parks before the end of July 2023 - dependent on weather conditions and park accessibility.
All works are carried out in accordance with Health Department regulations.
The herbicide used in our broadleaf weed control program relates to spraying for bindii and clover (not glyphosate) to ensure the safe use of public parks and reserves.
