Public notice: Hazard reduction burn – Gregory Highway

Please be advised that on Saturday 29 July, beginning at 8.00 am and continuing all day, a planned hazard reduction burn will occur on the east side of the Gregory Highway north of Pritchard Road through to Emerald Downs Road in Emerald.

The burn will span approximately two kilometres and is part of council’s pre-season fire mitigation preparations.

Residents should expect smoke and ask in the area, although every attempt will be made to keep this to a minimum.
