Did you know that babies should see the dentist every six months just like older children and adults? Find out why and more about child dental health at a special information session to be held at Lithgow Library on Monday 31 July from 11.00am.
Thrive and Lithgow Library are hosting the information session immediately following Monday’s regular Baby Bounce and Rhyme Time session. Guest speaker Katrina Kable from the Nepean and Blue Mountains Local Health District will be on hand to provide information to families about dental hygiene.
Katrina has been a dental therapist for the past 25 years in the Lithgow area, and will provide valuable information on dental checks, brushing, diet and all the combinations that impact on dental hygiene in the early years when children’s teeth are developing. Katrina will be on hand following the information session to answer questions and concerns parents may have about dental hygiene.
Nepean Blue Mountains Health will have some special packs to give to families and Katrina will happily assist parents in making appointments, while explaining what the appointments look like and what they can expect.
This information session is free and all members of the public are invited to attend, not just those attending Baby Bounce and Rhyme Time. Lithgow City Council Library would also like thanks Thrive who are conducting early childhood sessions every Monday morning from 11.00am after Baby Bounce and Rhyme Time. Each week Thrive bring along a special guest to give information to parents on various child related issues. Lithgow Library will advertise weekly session topics on its Facebook page.
