Public notice: Rolleston aeroplane landing area (ALA) temporarily closed

Rolleston ALA will be closed from 14 August to 3 October 2023 for the final phase of rehabilitation works to be completed on the airstrip.

Council operates a network of ALA’s in the Central Highlands Region that are used for light aircraft landings and recognise the significance of these transport facilities for private, agricultural and commercial charter flights.

Council has an agreement with a nearby facility to provide alternative access to a landing strip. For more information regarding this service please call 1300 242 686.

The Helipad will remain open to emergency services at all times.

This airstrip rehabilitation works are made possible by grant funding from the Remote Airstrip Upgrade program and funding from the CHRC.
