“These Community Conversation sessions will be informal and designed to give everyone a say in a considerate and fun way,” said the Mayor. “If this project is meaningful to you and you have ideas or something to say, please come along and share your thoughts.”
To inform the sessions, Council has been working with Outside the Square Creative Consulting to conduct targeted stakeholder consultation to develop a preliminary plan for way the facility will be managed and what services it will offer. “We want the new Library and Learning Centre to run in a way which best reflects the needs and aspirations of our community now and into the future,” said the Mayor.
To date the team has met for one-on-one conversations with more than 40 local stakeholders spanning:
Community groups Arts sector Healthcare and youth services Sporting groups Co-working and tech businesses Secondary and tertiary education providers First nations communities Churches and social support organisations Service clubs Advocacy bodiesIf you cannot make it to a Community Conversation, or would prefer to submit your feedback online, you can share your thoughts via the ‘Have your Say’ platform.
