Parents and carers wanting to learn about building and maintaining a positive relationship with their teenagers will benefit from a free workshop occurring in Kerang later this month.
The Gannawarra Library Service is hosting CatholicCare Victoria’s Knowing Your Teen workshop at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Monday, 28 August from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Suitable for parents with teenagers aged 12 year above, this two-hour workshop aims to provide information, improve understanding, and explore strategies that focus on the strengths and challenges of this stage of human development.
“The Knowing Your Teens workshop is a great resource for parents and guardians wanting to enhance their relationships with their children as they navigate this important stage of life,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“The workshop will look at the latest research around teenage brain development, as well as discussing peer relationships and tips for building and maintaining a positive relationship with your teenager.”
Bookings are essential, with catering provided on the night.
