Development Contributions Plan
At its meeting on Thursday 17 August 2023, Council resolved to place the Development Contributions Plan on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

Local infrastructure contributions, also known as developer contributions, are charged by councils when new development occurs. They help fund infrastructure like parks, community facilities, local roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage, sewer and water infrastructure.
1. That Council’s existing Section 7.12 Contributions rates of levy be endorsed, as outlined below: (a) for a proposed cost of up to and including $100,000—nil, and (b) for a proposed cost of $100,001–$200,000—0.5%, and (c) for a proposed cost of more than $200,000—1%.
2. That Council’s Section 7.12 Contributions exemptions be expanded to include affordable housing, seniors housing, disabled access, adaptive reuse of a heritage-listed item and rebuilding/repair works after natural disasters.
3. That items 1 and 2 in this Recommendation be reflected in a draft Section 7.12 Development Contributions Plan to be brought to Council for endorsement and public exhibition.
