Public notice: Planned hazard reduction burn – Emerald

Please be advised that there will be a hazard reduction burn along Pilot Farm Road and Gregory Highway from 5.00 pm today, 21 August 2023, weather permitting. This burn is estimated to take 2-3 hours.

This includes the area behind the medical precinct up to the Mayfair Estate.

Nearby residents are advised to stay clear of the indicated zones, close all windows and doors, take precautions while driving, and prepare animals. Every attempt will be made to keep smoke to a minimum.
