Temporary Road repairs - Hotmix Patching

Today (Monday 21 August 2023) our teams battled the conditions to repair some broken sections of road on East Cam Rd outside the Cemetery and on West Park Grove.

The wet & cold conditions do make it challenging to get the Hotmix to stick but we’ve done our best to get onto these as temporary repairs. These will help make the road safe until we can do more extensive resealing works that will replace all of the asphalt from kerb to kerb.

East Cam Road 

The two worst sections of road have been dropped to 60km/h until we can repair them by excavating the full thickness of the road, installing improved drainage and rebuilding the road from the base up. The engineering and designs are complete and we are now working on our resourcing plan to schedule these works in.

Other, smaller areas of damage will be progressively removed and replaced by our team as weather and resources permit.
