FEBRUARY FIRESTORM: VOICES FROM THE SMOKE LAUNCH
Last Friday 25th August a book launch was held at the Corrigin Recreation & Events Centre for February Firestorm: Voices from the Smoke. The book is a collection of incredible stories of community and resilience that emerged from the devastating fires in Corrigin in February 2022.
It was a great evening filled with the stories of how the book came to be as well as a reflection on how the community has recovered in the year after the fire.
A huge thank you to the Corrigin Community Development Fund for subsiding the cost of these books for the community; to the editorial committee - Sue Courboules, Val Downing, Jackie Jones and Jenny Pitman and to Kellie Bell for designing the book. February Firestorm is an inspiring book that will allow the stories of bravery from the Corrigin fires to live on in the community.
The book is officially SOLD OUT but if you have placed a pre order the books are now available for collection from the Corrigin CRC.
