Natives for the win!

It’s a wrap for our free native plant giveaway with more than 1000 plants from Barossa Bushgardens now beautifying and adding biodiversity to gardens across the region.

Eden Valley resident, Lisa Machin won the prestigious title of “Barossa’s Best Native Backyard”, winning a giant pot full of native plants, a pair of gardening gloves and hand-trowel for her efforts.

“I never thought I’d win! I feel so lucky,” Lisa said when she was presented with her prize by the Barossa Bushgardens team.

Lisa and her husband have been tending their native garden for the past 12 years and are proud to use nearly 100 percent native plants.
