Celebrating Macedon Ranges Seniors in 2023

Last updated on 07 September 2023

To celebrate the Victorian Seniors Festival 2023, Council will present 'celebration boxes' to 25 older residents in the shire who have made significant contributions to the community.

If you know of an older person who has made a positive difference in the community or has inspired you in some way, we encourage you to take this opportunity to say thank you and acknowledge their achievements by nominating them.

Nominees will be considered on the basis of their contribution to the local community, how they demonstrate active ageing and promote a positive image of older people. Examples may include contributions to a community groups, family life or work, keeping mentally and physically active, making a difference to the environment, or even as volunteer champion.

Residents of the Macedon Ranges Shire aged over 65 (or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50) are eligible to be nominated.

Celebration boxes will be presented at an event on 20 October at the Kyneton Mechanics Institute.

Nominations close Sunday 1 October. To submit a nomination or find out more about the presentation event, visit mrsc.vic.gov.au/Seniors-Festival or call 5422 0333.
