Clifford and Mario to bring school holiday fun
School holiday movies are coming back to the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.
Corangamite Shire Council Acting Coordinator Wellbeing Economy Tammy Young said the movies would give young people something a bit different to do on their holidays.
“These school holidays we have two animated movies to give our young residents a fun day out with friends. Come along and make a day of it,” Ms Young said.
“On Thursday 21 September we will be showing ‘Clifford the Big Red Dog’ at 1.30 pm,” she said.
“Based on the classic children’s books, it tells about the magical dog as he goes on the run from a nasty genetics company that wants to use him to make supersize animals.
“Along the way Clifford teaches his friend Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) and her clueless Uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) the true meaning of acceptance and unconditional love.”
“The following Monday, 25 September, kids can check out ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ from 10:30 am.
“The story follows the world’s most famous computer game plumber Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy)
“Along with by a mushroom named Toad, they need to find Mario's brother, Luigi, and save the world the fire-breathing Koopa named Bowser (Jack Black).
Ms Young said entry was free with the Bath Street doors opening a half hour before start time.
Food and drinks, including fresh popcorn, will be available for purchase.
