It’s your chance to experience everything that the mysterious South Asia has to offer without leaving home.
You’ll be dazzled by the vibrant colours, the wonderful South Asian food and the exotic atmosphere of an authentically re-created Indian bazar.
This year’s event from 5pm-10pm on September 22-24, will be highlighted by a dazzling parade of the latest styles and colours in saris, Bollywood dance routines, cooking demonstrations and the search to find the best curry cook and win $1000.
The head-to-head Curry Cook Off will be on Sunday 24 September from 5pm till 8pm.
“Starry Sari Nights is a unique experience to enjoy yourself in a totally different atmosphere,” said Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun. “It’s Sydney’s best celebration of South Asian culture and a wonderful celebration that keeps getting bigger and more popular every year.
“People come from all over Sydney to enjoy it.”
Liverpool’s reputation as a leader in South Asian fashion will be showcased each night featuring the most colourful designs of George Street’s 35 sari outlets.
