Ulverstone’s Little Free Pantry has got a new friend!
Thanks to the generous donation of one of our local families, there is now a book swap to complement the well-used pantry.
Books are food for the soul and expand our knowledge. Books are a way to escape and can take us to places we never dreamed. Reading improves our understanding of life and increases our access to language, especially at an early age.
Famous Australian author Mem Fox said, “Children need to hear 1,000 stories before they can learn to read”. Reading to our children is a wonderful way to connect and explore together, it opens their world to so many possibilities.
Stop by and check it out…feed your soul and share in something new.
The Little Free Pantry and the community library are located at 13-15 Alexandra Road, Ulverstone (outside the former Visitor Information Centre).
