After being elected deputy mayor of Liverpool City Council, Councillor Fiona Macnaught has pledged to continue working hard for the community.
She said she was humbled by the honour bestowed on her by her colleagues on Council.
“It’s a humbling experience,” she said.
‘I have lived and worked here a significant part of my life, and this is one of the greatest moments I’ve experienced during my time representing the community.
“I thank my fellow councillors who voted for me and entrusted me with this important role.
“I’ll be continuing to work hard for everyone in Liverpool.”
Ms Macnaught was elected to Council in 2021.
