On the Thursday September 21 the 33rd Gwenyth Ewens Awards Night was held at the Fremantle Town Hall.
This year we had over 317 pieces of art work depicting Historical Fremantle buildings, marking the greatest number of submissions the award has ever received.
Entries were submitted by year 5 and 6 students from local Fremantle primary schools.
The evening had over 270 people attending and was the first year the History Centre has run the competition and hosted the awards night.
Awards were presented included the two best students from each primary school, the judges special award and the overall best school prize.
The exhibition is currently open to the public 10am–2pm Monday to Friday until 5 October.
