The Council recently had the greatest pleasure in working with Ulverstone Red Cross and the Ulverstone Men’s Shed to provide a new seat outside the Red Cross Ulverstone’s headquarters.
The Red Cross approached the Council with a request of support in order to honour their long-time, and now past, member Miss Maisie Pyke with a bench seat.
The Men’s Shed built a beautiful seat and we were pleased to assist with the installation.
If you are up that end of King Edward Street, make sure you wander over and try out the new bench, enjoy a quiet reflective moment and pay respects to the phenomenal Miss Pyke who was an inspirational community member in her dedication to serving others.
