Fremantle residents are encouraged to dust off their helmets, pump up their tyres and give cycling a go during WA Bike Month.
Held during October, Bike Month is Western Australia’s annual celebration of bike riding for transport, fun and a healthier lifestyle. It, aims to encourage people of all ages and abilities to ride more often for everyday trips.
The City of Fremantle is celebrating Bike Month with a number of free community events for the whole family to enjoy, including a super-fun scavenger hunt, bicycle education session for children, a ride 2 work meet up, and a valet service to support the Big Bike Film Night.
As a bike-friendly city, Fremantle has dedicated on-road bike lanes, shared cycle paths, safe intersections for cyclists and bike parking bays throughout the city.
