The Rush Festival brought unparalleled excitement and entertainment to Charters Towers this past weekend, leaving locals and visitors alike with unforgettable memories.
From music to films and family fun, this event showcased a diverse range of entertainment that was truly enjoyed by the young and young at heart.
Rush Festival Spokesperson, Jason 'Wolfie' Wolfgram, declared that Saturday night's Goldrush Concert was nothing short of spectacular. The evening featured a highly anticipated moment: the unveiling of the winner of the Rush Festival's $10,000 draw.
The lucky recipient, Kelli Peters from Townsville, secured her prize after pre-purchasing her event tickets, turning her weekend into a windfall of excitement.
The cash giveaway would not have been possible without the generous contribution made by Naming Rights Sponsor Pajingo Gold Mine.
“Pajingo Gold Mine are great supporters of many community events and activities right across our region, and their commitment and dedication to investing in the Rush Festival is a testament to that.” said Mr Wolfgram.
The festivities commenced on Friday night with the annual Twilight Markets & Short Film Festival, where families revelled with relaxed entertainment, explored market stalls for hidden treasures, and enjoyed locally made short films.
The highlight of the festival, the Goldrush Concert on Saturday, ignited the night with a sensational line-up of local talent including Shots Fired and Karizma, while headliners Wendy Matthews, The Chantoozies, Choirboys, and Eskimo Joe brought the house down!
Sunday morning saw the Towers Rush event, featuring over 100 teams in North Queensland's biggest scavenger hunt. Participants completed exhilarating challenges while soaking in the vibrant festival atmosphere, making it an action-packed close to the weekend.
