Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Roadworks Notice

Byrnes Street Mareeba, 22 October – 7pm to 6am (Main Street area)

The works will involve high-pressure water blasting on the road surface and will be carried out at night to reduce the impact on road users. Crews will be onsite between 7pm and 6am.

Timeframes may be subject to change depending on the program of works and weather conditions.

For the safety of road users and maintenance crews, changed traffic conditions will be in place, including temporary speed limit reductions and single-lane operation under the coordination of traffic controllers while the works are carried out.

Nearby residents and businesses may experience noise associated with the works, such as the sound of trucks, light machinery and vibrations while the work is carried out. The contractor will take all reasonable and practical actions to minimise impacts.
