Works Engineering Officer

The Role:

Our Works Engineering Officer provides support to the Manager Works. Responsibilities include areas such as risk management, strategic planning, reporting functions, asset management, technical advice and program support for efficient management within Council’s Works area.

What we are looking for:

You will have a strong working knowledge of road and drainage construction and maintenance principles You will have a demonstrated understanding of asset management, maintenance management, risk management quality assurance and traffic management practices for civil infrastructure You will have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and have sound conflict resolution skills You will have high level written and verbal communication skills You will have sound keyboards skills with proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and database usage as well as experience with engineering, asset management software and geographic information systems You will have exceptional time management skills and be able to prioritise your work to meet deadlines and deliver Council objective
