The green waste pad at the Emerald Transfer Station on Glasson Street is set to reopen on Tuesday 31 October 2023!
Domestic, clean Green Waste will be accepted from 7.00 am to 4.45 pm Tuesday to Sunday and consists of the following items:
Grass clippings Branches Woodchips, Bark Palm fronds and Weeds/ shrub clippingsAs well as the green waste pad, the Glasson Street transfer station accepts domestic waste only.
For all other waste, such as commercial and industrial waste including loads in large vehicles, Lochlee’s Landfill is open 8.00 am – 5.00 pm, Monday to Sunday.
Please be mindful of other road users when you visit the transfer station, council staff will be on hand to direct traffic and keep everyone safe. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

To celebrate the re-opening of the green waste pad, council is hosting a sausage sizzle on Saturday 4 November and also offering free mulch. Come on down with your trailer, shovel and gloves to get yourself some free mulch for the garden and enjoy a snack and drink on us!
