Free Disability Parking in Burnie

Published on 31 October 2023

At the October Council Meeting, a motion was passed to introduce free disability parking in Burnie. This will take effect as of today (Tuesday 31 October 2023). Please be advised that the arrangements for the new disability parking are as follows:

The free parking is limited to the existing Designated Disability Zones only. If you hold a disability permit and you are not within a designated disability zone, you will still need to pay for parking as per normal. The stated timeframes on the parking signage still apply. If you are parking in the designated disability zones in the Multi-Storey Car park, you will need to ensure that you exit the car park before 6.30pm (before the ticket booth closes) to avoid being charged the exit fee.
