Renowned Australian author, Darry Fraser is returning to the Gannawarra this month as part of the Gannawarra Library Service’s popular Author Talks program.
In what will be her fourth visit to the Gannawarra and her first since 2019, Ms Fraser will speak about her new book, The Milliner of Bendigo at Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Thursday, 30 November from 2pm.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Darry back to the Gannawarra, as she has developed a strong following thanks to her previous visits,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“Readers with a keen sense of history, who enjoy romantic sagas and have an interest in strong women of yesteryear will enjoy listening to Darry speak.”
The visit coincides with the launch of Ms Fraser’s 12th book, The Milliner of Bendigo, which focuses on Bendigo milliner, Evie Emerson and roving reporter Fitzmorgan O’Shea.
“The Milliner of Bendigo sees Darry’s stories return to settings along the Murray River, which will appeal to many of our residents,” Mr Rollinson said.
Places for this special event are limited. To book your spot or for more information, please phone the Gannawarra Library Service on (03) 5452 1546.
