Mayor Mark Johnson, General Manager Kelvin Tytherleigh, Deputy Mayor Susannah Pearse and Mark Connolly Executive Manager Regional Activation, met with QANTAS representatives to discuss the future of QANTAS and their commitment to the community.

Representatives from QANTAS confirmed that they have no intention to cease servicing the Moree Plains Shire for the Moree to Sydney flight.

QANTAS has currently reduced the number of flights from 12 to 10 flights per week. Flights will be re-instated to the 12 flights per week in early 2014.
