Piling works are expected to start tomorrow on the Back Creek Bridge on Kyogle Road and Eight Day Creek Bridge on Needhams Road.
Concrete works will start tomorrow for the first abutment on the new Askews Bridge on Askews Dip Road, while piling work has begun on the Brindle Creek Road Bridge and a side-track is being constructed on the new bridge planned for Rodgers Road.
Repairs to landslips on Gabal and Dugans roads are ongoing. Finishing works on the Edwards Lane landslip are expected to be completed on Friday.
The scheduled completion of work on the three major landslips on Lions Road has been put back a couple of weeks and is now due to be finished mid-November. Contractors are still expected to finish repairs to the landslip under Geneva Bridge before Christmas.
Drainage works continue on Mallanganee Range in preparation for the pavement works which will start early next year.
Construction crews continue to work on Kyogle Road. They are undertaking flood damage repairs to drainage, and contractors are completing asphalt resurfacing and sprayed seals.
There are now three road construction crews and two culvert construction crews working on the Clarence Way between Bonalbo and Urbenville.
The project to seal a 4km section on the southern end of Sextonville Road has been completed and work on a minor repair on a culvert on the unsealed section in underway.
Resealing works on Short Street, Kyogle, are schedule to start next week, while works to reseal the Kyogle Lookout Access Road and install new guardrails is complete.
Maintenance grading is ongoing on Dyraaba Road. Progress has been delayed due to a mechanical issue with the grader. Old Dyraaba Road and Whites Road are next in line for maintenance grading.
West of the Range maintenance grading crews are working on Paddys Flat Road and Baileys Bridge Road has had maintenance grade complete.
Work to stabilise a 100 metre (approx) section of Wiangaree Back Road will be carried out when a stabiliser becomes available.
The flood damage crews have finished on Deep Creek Road and are continuing to address small defects on rural roads throughout the local government area.
Drainage crews will start work on Boundary Creek Road in the next couple of weeks, meanwhile Council’s Jetpatcher is working on patching potholes on Clarence Way, while another crew is working on Kyogle, Horseshoe Creek and Fawcetts Plain roads.
