Nominate and celebrate our community champions
Alpine Shire 20 Nov 2023

Nominations for the 2024 Alpine Shire Community Awards are now open, inviting community members to nominate individuals worthy of recognition.

These annual awards serve as a tribute to outstanding individuals, young achievers, noteworthy events, and community groups that have demonstrated excellence, resilience, and a commitment to giving back throughout the past year.

Alpine Shire Mayor, John Forsyth, emphasised the significance of these awards in acknowledging the diverse talents and generous spirits within the community.

"The Alpine Shire Community Awards showcase an incredible array of talent, determination, and generosity," he said.

"Whether overcoming challenges, dedicating time to support others, demonstrating remarkable leadership in adversity, or serving as the backbone of the community, these awards celebrate the unsung heroes among us."

Mayor Forsyth encourages everyone to take part in recognising those who deserve to be celebrated.

"If you know someone in our community making a positive impact, nominate them for an award and let their story inspire us all," he said.
