Residents and visitors will soon launch and retrieve vessels from the newly constructed boat ramp in the Barwon River, Mungindi.
This exciting project has been delivered as another successful cross-border collaboration by Moree Plains Shire Council and Balonne Shire Council.
Moree Plains Shire Council was successful in obtaining a grant of $300,000 from the NSW Department of Primary Industries, with approval for the ramp to be built on the Queensland side of the Barwon River.
Balonne Shire Council provided the engineering plans and the workers for the construction of the boat ramp.
The boat ramp compliments the new upgrades to the Mungindi River Park.
The official opening of the boat ramp is coming soon.
