Kickstart your idea to help activate your local area with a boost from the City of Wanneroo.

Each year, the City’s Kickstarter Fund offers passionate community members the chance to secure up to $500 towards small-scale projects that enliven your neighbourhood.

This year, residents, community groups and local businesses are encouraged to organise events, art installations or pop-ups to activate Girrawheen Hub and bring the community together.

Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said the Kickstarter Fund was an opportunity for the Girrawheen community work together on fun, engaging, community focused projects.

“The City is particularly supportive of events, programs and activations that connect residents and help build community spirit,” she said.

“We’ve been proud to support a range of initiatives with our Kickstarter Fund over the years, and I look forward to seeing the local community come together to create something wonderful in Girrawheen.”

Community groups, businesses and residents with a great idea for a project or event at Girrawheen Hub are encouraged to apply online before 31 January 2024.
