Gannawarra Shire Council has welcomed its new Director Corporate Services, Amanda Wilson to the team.
The former Loddon Shire Council Director Corporate Services began in her new role with the Gannawarra Shire earlier today.
“Council welcomes Amanda to the team, with her extensive experience in accounting, business, human resources and occupational health and safety to benefit our team and the community,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“Amanda’s role with the neighbouring Loddon Shire shares similarities to the portfolio she holds with Gannawarra Shire, including financial services, organisation development, governance, risk and information technology.”
Ms Wilson has worked in the local government sector across Victoria and New South Wales for more than a decade, and has extensive experience with the private enterprise and not-for-profit sectors.
Ms Wilson replaces Phil Higgins as Council’s Director Corporate Services following Mr Higgin’s retirement earlier this year.
“Council thanks Phil for the work he did with Council between his appointment in late 2018 and his retirement, with his extensive experience in the local government sector highly valuable to our staff and the community, especially as Council managed to maintain services during the COVID-19 pandemic and the October-December 2022 floods,” Mr Rollinson said.
