Temporary Road Closure of Balo Street

This Friday, in preparation for the much-anticipated ‘Christmas at Twilight’ in the Moree CBD, Council will temporarily close Balo Street, between Gwydir to Albert Street, from 2pm to approximately 10pm, Friday 1 December 2023.

General Manager, Kelvin Tytherleigh acknowledges the understanding and cooperation of the community during this period, stating "The closure is essential to facilitate the setup, operation, and dismantling of the ‘Christmas at Twilight’ event, while providing a secure environment for attendees and participants".

During the closure period, motorists are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

Signage and detour information will be prominently displayed to guide traffic safely around the affected area.

Local businesses and residents in the vicinity are encouraged to plan accordingly for the temporary road closure, with emergency services having been notified and arrangements in place to ensure minimal disruption.
