Central Highlands Regional Council buildings will be closed from 12.00 pm Friday 22 December 2023 up to and including Friday 29 December 2023. Council will re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2024. The only way into the building will be through the chimney (and that’s reserved for Santa!)
The Capricornian Bank located in the Springsure & Capella council offices will also be closed for the same period.
Council’s Aquatic Centres are run by third-party vendors, and therefore opening hours will vary. Please refer to their individual Facebook pages or website for the most up-to-date information and contact numbers.
Kerbside collection services will continue as normal. Transfer stations and landfills will be closed on Christmas Day. No alternate waste disposal will be provided.
In case of an emergency, please call 1300 242 686 and you will be redirected to the after-hour services. In the event of extreme weather conditions and possible road closures, please refer to the Emergency Management Dashboard.
Emails, social media posts, or comments directed to the council will not be monitored during the closure.
