Lease extension allows for Esplanade café revamp

Muddy’s Café is set for a revamp after the current operators secured a 10-year lease extension from Council allowing for significant upgrades to be undertaken.
The café has been under the management of Rodel and Kayci Browning, directors of Alvinleigh Pty Ltd, since 2012.
The new 10-year lease agreement will allow the operators to commit to entering into a capital works agreement with Council for future upgrades.
These include a new kitchen, oven, flooring, express bar, refrigeration, and front counter enhancements.
There are also host of external works planned over the next three years, which include increased undercover area, improved visibility to the playground, and additional outdoor lighting.
The upgrades will complement planned Council improvements to Muddy’s Playground in early-2024, including a refresh of the waterplay area and replacement of the fort play area.
