Tender submissions invited for weighbridge and tollbooth at Southbridge Waste Transfer Station and IT systems for all Huon Valley Council Waste Transfer Stations
Submissions are invited for suitably qualified and experienced organisations to design, manufacture, supply and install a weighbridge and associated civil works including toll booth construction at Southbridge Waste Transfer station (WTS).
The installation of the weighbridge will come with IT system upgrades to all of Council’s WTSs.
Tenders may be submitted for all or part of the project.
Council’s 2023/24 budget confirmed funding for the installation of a weighbridge at Southbridge Waste Transfer Station in Huonville.
The result of this project will improve data capture, ensure consistent charging, and provide a mechanism to verify the weights of outgoing loads of general waste and recycling.
Investment in our WTS operations will play an important role in complying with current regulations, help us achieve the objectives of our Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy (WARR), and address our long-term strategic goal of a great environment.
